A Pro-Tennis Player Coaches the Kids

When we came to Turkey, we looked into signing the kids up for a sport.  There were not many options with it being August.  So we put the kids in tennis lessons at the health club.  Nate was already a tennis player.  Connor and Sam are beginners.  We thought that this would be a great way to get the kids out of the house and meet other kids.

We learned that the month of August is like Vacation month for Turkish people.  Turkish people usually have a second home and during the month of August they spend it at their vacation home.  So these tennis lesson have been like private lessons, because there are only a few kids in town.

Nate and Connor have a new tennis coach.  He speaks great English.  We believe that  because of his English capabilities the head coach of the tennis program has assigned him to instruct Nate and Connor. We then learned that Nick (the coach) is in the professional circuit and is from Romania.  He told us that he played in his first tournament when he was nine.  Right now he is on tour in Turkey for one month.  Wow, the kids are having the privilege of having him as their instructor?!?  Say what?  What a great opportunity for Nate and Connor.  You could not ask for a better teacher.  Well apparently we are getting our money's worth in Tennis lesson.  I mean think about it.  Who can brag that a Tennis Pro taught them everything they know.  Well, they now can.

We watched him horse around and play with a few other coaches.  I could not believe how fast and hard he could serve.  Needless to say - YES, he is the best player I have ever seen play tennis.

Another Point For Connor - way to let your partner do all the running

Sam Is At The Ready (hope that ball in the air hits the tip of his racket)

Nate gearing up to hit a high ball

The kids are enjoying Tennis!
